Following the Easter bombings that destroyed parts of Sri Lanka and killed approximately 250 people, the country is taking to the polls. A combination of the bombings and inter-governmental gridlock has caused the public to lose trust in their government. There has been a lot of interested candidates, but the two front runners are the former defense secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the minister of housing Sajith Premadasa.
