Cyclone Hits Bangladesh

The BBC article was very short, but explained some of the damage already caused by this cyclone on Saturday, May 21st. While more news on the damages will become more accessible on Sunday, the extent of damage done is severe. Homes are submerged in water, power lines are cut, a confirmed number of twenty-four people have died and millions of others are fleeing their home areas. Luckily, shelters have been set up by authorities for the five hundred thousand people fleeing. There is not much news on the twenty-four deaths other than that of a mother and daughter who died in a landslide in the Chittagong district. This district took much of the brunt of the cyclone. Hopefully we will get more news on Sunday.
