Russia has announced it
will be returning an Israeli tank that Russia currently owns from the 1982
Lebanon war. Israeli prime minister
Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement thanking Russian president Vladimir Putin
for this gesture. After the war Syria gave
Russia the tank which now resides in a museum in Moscow. Israel is very happy to be getting the tank
back because during the battle where the tank was taken, three Israeli soldiers
disappeared. Israel wants this tank
because it will serve as a memorial to the three missing soldiers.
