The Senate passed a bill that allows 9/11 victims to sue
Saudi Arabia over its alleged role in the terrorist attacks. This is a blow to
President Obama who still poses the threat of vetoing the bill. Some
politicians say this will give Americans some small measure of justice. However,
the White House believes the bill will have major consequences, in which it
could threaten national security and open the U.S. to lawsuits in reaction. Not
a single Senator, democrat or republican, voted against the bill. They clearly are
placing the interest of the families above any potential risk that the White
House is citing.
