"Deaths, rescue mark perilous weekend on Mount Everest"

With the climbing season just underway, two climbers have gone missing and three others were rescued this weekend from the slopes of Mount Everest. Rescued individuals were suffering from severe frostbite, illness, and snow blindness. Eric Arnold, age 35 from Rotterdam, reached Everest's summit on his fifth attempt and passed away hours later due to altitude sickness. In addition, Maria Strydom, age 34 from Australia, also suffered and died due to altitude sickness on Saturday. If and when weather permits, a team will be sent out to recover the bodies. However, this could still prove difficult and perilous for the team.
