Trump Faces Problems from his Poorly Worded Statements

Donald Trump backs on his statement from December that America should call for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States". He says "it was only a suggestion", and "it hasn't been called upon yet". However, although Trump only suggests this action now, he is still advocating for it. His argument goes that as long as US' decision-makers cannot "identify the problem", the best way would be to prohibit ALL MUSLIMS from entering our country. As Trump says, this might reduce the risk for terrorism, since the biggest threats come from extremist groups identify themselves as Muslims. However, it would automatically include the vast majority of law-abiding Muslims as well. The signals that would send to the world is disgusting. The hinder this would pose for all Muslims in the US with some family and friends outside of the state is horrible, not to talk about the internationally traveling Muslim businesspeople in the US who would not be able to pursue their works. More groups will certainly be affected if Trump would implement this idea, and scenarios that I have not accounted for could surely result from such an action. Let's hope it doesn't happen.
