U.S. Ramps Up Anti-Taliban Campaign in Pakistan

The United States recently launched a drone strike in Pakistan, its most aggressive military action in the country since the raid that killed Osama bin Laden five years ago. This latest strike reportedly killed Taliban chief Aktar Mohammad Mansour, and unlike when the raid that killed bin Laden happened, Pakistan did not react negatively to the United States operating on their soil. The Taliban has been having problems with its leadership recently, and this strike will only cause more chaos and confusion.
