Obama Weighs in on Britain's Future in the EU

Obama, after visiting Saudi Arabia, has stopped in Britain for a three day visit. Plans to visit surrounded a few things, one it was the queens 90th birthday, so Obama wanted to stop in and celebrate, but, but more importantly, the referendum vote on whether or not Britain will remain in the EU is in the near future. Obama wanted to voice his opinion and give a recommendation to his friends in Britain. He was advised to keep it very light and non-judgmental, it is a sensitive topic and he was told not to rock the boat too much.

Obama did not really follow the advice of his advisers. He wasted no time in giving his opinion on Britain's future in the EU. He spoke with a conservative newspaper the Daily Telegraph, and stated strongly that he believed Britain needs to stay as a member of the EU. He claimed that the EU does not diminish Britain's world power, but enhances it and it would be a poor decision on Britain's part to leave the EU.
Obama will still be in Europe for the next couple of days and it will be interesting to see how everyone responds to his strong stance.
