Panama Papers: Putin sorry for Sueddeutsche Zeitung error

Putin is backtracking after accusing a German newspaper that leaked information accusing Putin and the government that he leads of participating in corrupt activities. This comes as the Panama Papers continue to plague world leaders.

Putin made the comment during a televised phone in event and claimed that the newspaper was owned by the American company Goldman and Sachs implying that the accusations are ll part of an American attack on Putin. Surprisingly though, Putin is apologizing for the remarks, but blames aids for misinforming him of the details rather than taking any responsibility.
