Chemical Attack Survivors Tell Their Story

In this article posted by CNN, we have the opportunity to hear from a few survivors of the chemical attacks in Syria. It was shocking to hear stories of exactly how these attacks affected their entire lives. They reported living in constant fear hiding underground missing the opportunity to live life. Young children are growing up only knowing life as what they are experiencing such as death and constant attacks that cause you to fight for your life. They are playing with dolls, however instead of playing like normal children, they are teaching them how to protect themselves from suffocating. One women shared a story of her running from the chemical attacks within a basement and at that same time they were being attacked from above. She describes it as, "It was like we were between to deaths". The people of Syria have stopped their lives to fight for survival and have lost many close friends and family despite their efforts.
