Hollis Esposito ICE raided a meatpacking plant. More than 500 kids missed school the next day

Summary:
Federal authorities invaded a meatpacking plant and obtained around 100 people who are being accused of being in America illegally. The next day, nearly 500 students stayed home because of fear and sadness since they do not know if they will ever see their loved ones. The raid impacted the community deeply because the immigrants became part of the growing population. The operation took place at Southeastern Provision in Bean Station, Tennessee. Federal agents arrested 97 immigrants that day and most of them face charges of being in the U.S. illegally. Some of the 500 students who did not show up to school the next day were directly affected by the raid.
