In this article, it details how Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reacted to the bombing of Syria by the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. Putin told the Iranian president that, "this illegal action seriously damages the prospects for a political settlement in Syria." Putin argued that this bombing was against UN rules; however, the Russian president did not acknowledge the chemical attack that Syrian president Assad launched on his own people.
