Alexis Reese- UK rows backs on plans to promote gay rights at Commonwealth Summit

The commonwealth Summit is composed of 53 heads of state that seek to promote equality for the commonwealth of the world. One topic that had been proposed are LGBT rights. 37 out of the 53 commonwealth countries outlaw homosexuality, some countries it is punishable by death. This year it is hoped that the initiative to promote sexual orientation equality will be successful in that some of the countries will terminate or at the very least make the penalties less harsh. It's unknown if any actions will be taken due to the leaders of the summit not wanting to offend the other countries in attendance.
