Syria air strikes: Macron says he convinced Trump not to pull out troops by Jesus Ponce

This past weekend was hectic. US led air strikes on Syria rattled the news. Trump actually kept his promise that Syria would pay for the chemical attacks Assad carried out on his citizens. The UK and France participated in the strikes as well.

Following the strikes, French President Emmanuel Macron, stated that he convinced Trump to keep troops in Syria. He said that it was necessary to stay for the long term. Macron also said that he persuaded Trump to limit the strikes on chemical weapon sites after the Twitter war got carried away. Macron was referring to the Tweet were Trump called out Putin for supporting a regime who kills its own people and enjoys it.

Since Macron convinced Trump to keep troops on the ground, this tells us that there is no end to ongoing conflict in Syria. Although the bombings have died out, keeping troops in Syria tells Assad that more is coming. Trump was not lying when he said that Syria should be ready for what's coming. More violence is on the horizon, and I don't believe anything can stop it. Keep in mind that Russia labeled the strikes as an act of aggression.
