Dozens Suffocate in Syria as Government Is Accused of Chemical Attack - Andrew Honig Blog 1

Dozens Suffocate in Syria as Government Is Accused of Chemical Attack The article that I read for this week was from the New York times and it talks about the most recent chemical attack in Syria. Yet again the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad attacked his own people and he did not hold back. There was reports that over 40 people including men, women, and children lost their lives. Foam was coming from their mouths and also from their nostrils which was very hard to read. The civil war between the government and the people of Syria has gained the attention of our very own President Donald Trump. The article from the New York Times talks about president Trump condemning Syria's president and interestingly enough his dear friend Vladimir Putin. Putin has continually disregarded the recent and past chemical attacks against the rebels that are fighting against the Syrian Government. The United States calls upon Russia to back away from Syria and to not make the situation any worse than it already is. Even though Russia and the United States made an agreement to have Syria give up their chemical weapons, that agreement is not being upheld to its fullest with the current situation.

This is crazy to me to know that these horrible things are happening to men, women, and children and how little anyone is doing to actually stop it. President Trump seems ambitious to find out what the exact cause of the chemical attack was. Russia doesn't seem that willing to find the root and it is troubling to say the least.
