Late Sunday evening, an Saudi-led coalition executed an airstrike against the Iran-allied Shiite rebels, called the Houthis. This airstrike did not target military forces however, but a wedding party in Yemen. Among the dead were children and the bride herself. Later at a nearby hospital, it was found that no less than thirty children had been injured, some of whom were in critical condition.
The coalition has been accused by many of war crimes, especially as the airstrikes have been known to hit schools, hospitals, weddings, and crowded marketplaces in the past.
The U.N. has condemned the attacks and calls for a prompt investigation.
