This article talks about President Trump's recent decision to pull the U.S. out of the trans pacific partnership. The partnership was initially instituted to strengthen trade relations between countries located on the pacific ocean, but in a recent decision last week. Trump decided to pull the United States out of the agreement. As afar as reasoning for pulling out, the president simply thought that the U.S. could have a better deal and more incentives to be a part of it.
Recently though, Trump has expressed in re-entering the agreement if the other 11 countries can agree to new terms that would benefit the U.S. The other countries are not so excited about this. Although the U.S. has allies and strong ties to to other countries a apart of the agreement, a little bit of trust may have been lost due to the potential and implications of Trump starting a trade war with another economic powerhouse, China.
Since there are U.S. allies involved, it will be interesting to see how the other countries respond to Trump's renewed interest going forward.
