In this article
it discusses President Trump responding back to the alleged chemical attack in
Syria. The first important part to acknowledge would be the history with Syria
and the previous attacks they had on their own people. The other important part
would be the relationship between Syria and Russia has with being allies. The
article starts off with discussing how Trump blames President Bashar Assad and
other international allies of the attack that left hundreds injured and many dead.
Following, it wrote how Trump believes that Vladimir Putin will pay a big price
for being an ally to this type of country. The attack that the article mentions
took place in Douma which is near the capitol of Damascus where the deaths
included young children and adults. Of course President Trump being himself
made the comment, “animal Assad” when he referred to their President Assad.
Subsequently, the article mentions how in 2017 Trump ordered missile strikes on
Syrian airbase to respond to a chemical attack in 2017. Trump also believes it
is the fault of the previous president for not taking action against the Assad
regime during the earlier civil war. By the end of the article it goes into little
details as to how the administration will respond to this attack and is still to
be determined. Though, the article mentions they believe it will be similar as
to last time and potentially order a missile strike on the Syrian military in
Shayrat. However, the Treasury Secretary said they “will be reviewing with the
president all different alternatives”.
