Hollis Esposito "Trump Veers From Tax Script to Blast Democrats on Immigration"

Trump believes that Democrats are supporting “dangerous” policies in order to secure immigrant votes. He went to West Virginia to promote his $1.5 trillion tax overhaul, but instead was asked more about the U.S. immigration laws. Trump informed some reporters that he wants to deploy around 2,000 to 4,000 National Guard troops to the border of Mexico. Republican leaders want Trump to keep with the script to make economic growth and low taxes the central theme of 2018, but he refuses to follow it. Instead, he opted to blast the immigrants and the country’s immigration laws. Trump explains that they are “toughening up the border” because immigrants are such bad people since we do not know who they are. Trump believes that they all could be murderers, killers, and MS-13. He also accused Democrats of using “chain migration” to get votes and repeated unfounded claims of election fraud.
