On Wednesday, a small turnout of voters in the Netherlands voted against a treaty that was meant to strengthen ties between the European Union and Ukraine. This treaty had previously been signed by the Dutch Prime Minister as well as approved by all other EU nations, taking "provisional effect" in January this year. Dutch voters claimed they are frustrated with many actions of European policy makers and chose to voice their disagreement through rejecting this treaty. Ukraine has no intentions of backing down from closer integration with Europe.
