Syria Conflict: IS 'abducts hundreds of factory workers'

Recent developments out of Syria have shown that in the fight that is taking place near the countries capital, in the city of Dumeir, a number of factory workers have gone missing from a cement factory. The kidnappings are thought to have taken place on Monday 4/16, but due to the great deal of fighting in the area between forces supported by the government, the rebels, and ISIS access had been limited. The exact number of kidnapped workers is also unclear with industrial ministry sources saying 300 and rebels saying 200. Despite all of the confusion, efforts are being made to secure the safe return of the workers and indirect contact has been made.
