Popular reality TV show, America’s Got Talent launched a spin off in which former contestants and winners from around the globe compete for the Champion title. Each night ten acts perform for two final spots. With only two nights done so far, Susan Boyle, singer from Britain’s Got Talent and Christina Ramos, singer from Spain’s Got Talent both made it through to the finals. Thus far the competition has included both previously mentioned singers, a sword swallower from Russia, a jump roping team from Holland, a dog trainer who won Britain’s Got Talent, and an acro/dance/singing team who won Australia’s Got Talent. Other notable performers in the competition come from Ukraine, South Africa, Australia, Denmark, and Russia, among other countries who host the got talent competitions. The success of the got talent competition spread because of globalization which fosters, among others, the spread of ideas, technology, and social community and the spin off is a great example of how globalization brings the world together to showcase the incredible talents of people from all over the world. Many are referring to this spin off competition as the olympics of talent because it highlights the best of the best in so many different talent disciplines.
