Burkina Faso, a nation in Africa's Sahel region, has recently experienced a change in power. Paul Kaba Thieba, the Prime Minister, has resigned along with his entire cabinet. Although no reason was given in his statement, the government has been facing growing pressure due to a rise in kidnapping and jihadist attacks, including disappearances of high profile foreign nationals.
