Israel's PM Netanyahu signs deals with Chad's President Deby

The current Israeli Prime Minister has made a diplomatic trip to Chad, a country which cut ties with Israel in 1972. The two men announced their visit was one had with hopes to encourage more diplomatic relations in the future. Supposedly several agreements were signed by both the Israeli Prime Minister and the President of Chad, but no comments as to what those agreements might be have been released. Mr. Netanyahu is the first Israeli Prime Minister to visit the continent of Africa in nearly thirty years. He visited with some countries in 2016, and again in 2017. The goal is to separate diplomatic relations in terms of Israeli-Palestinian ties and Israeli ties with other mainly Muslim countries. The President of Chad was quoted as saying, "The purpose of your visit is to bring our two countries closer and to cooperate." President Deby was the first leader of Chad to travel to Israel in November of last year.
