Venezuela Crisis: Maduro given ultimatum by European leaders

France, Germany, and Spain have warned the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, that elections must be held within eight days or they will recognize Juan Guaido ( the opposition) as president. The United States and several other countries have recognized Guaido as president already. France, Spain, and Germany have all made similar statements declaring that they want democracy and free elections in Venezuela. There is a UN security council meeting scheduled to discuss the crisis.
