Denver Schools and Immigrant Teachers

Last Thursday an email was sent that sparked concern for Immigrant teachers in Denver Colorado. The email stated that amidst strike threats teachers on Visa Status would have to be reported to the government for further action. This obviously worried teachers that were on the verge of striking due to poor labor conditions but the information turned out to be misconstrued. The School DPS district does have to report to the U.S Labor Department about the strike but no names or personal information about the participants are actually given. DPS proceeded to apologize for the miscommunication and any worry it might have caused immigrant teachers.
