German President asks for forgiveness from Poland

In Wielun, there was a ceremony to remember and mark the 80th anniversary of Germany's invasion of Poland. Wielun is the site of one of the first German attacks on Poland. The article touched on how much Poland has suffered and lost due to the German invasion 80 years ago, and how Polish President Andrzej Duda is opening talks again about compensation. At the Ceremony in Wielun, Germany's president stated "I bow to the victims of the attack in Wielun, I pay tribute to the Polish victims of German tyranny and i ask for forgiveness".
