Indonesia erupts into protests and riots over pre-marital sex law
Thousands of protesters, mainly students, have poured out onto the streets today in Indonesia to protest a bill that would ban sex before marriage as well as making it illegal to insult the president and ban almost all abortions. The bill would criminalize pre-marital sex with a 1 year sentence, and would make it illegal to live together if a couple is not married. The protesters clashed with riot police who fired tear gas into the crowd.
