Violent ‘Yellow vest’ protest in Nantes

At least 18 people have been arrested by police after a new protest of the “Yellow vest movement” in France. According to media reports, police fired multiple tear gas. Likewise, media reported that at least 20 Molotov cocktails, some fireworks among others artefacts have been found near the assembly point. The origin of this movement was in October, 2018 and the ‘yellow vest’ or ‘yellow jackets’ was firstly motivated for the rising fuel prices. Right now, they also march for the high cost of living, and against the France’s president Emmanuel Macron. The movement has expanded to some other countries like the Netherlands, Belgium or Italy but not with the same power.
