Several days after the announcement from Speaker Nancy Pelosi that the U.S. House of Representatives will begin a formal impeachment investigation against the President, and the release of the transcripts from his call with the President of Ukraine, Donald Trump's special envoy to Ukraine, Kurt Volker, has resigned. Volker turned in his resignation to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo just as the Democratic chairmen of the House committees conducting the impeachment investigation called Volker to testify before Congress sometime next week. According to the official whistleblower complaint that was submitted accusing Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials for conspiring with a foreign power for political gain. According to the complaint, Volker along with fmr. NYC Mayor and Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani initiated conversation about dirt on Joe Biden and family the day after Trump's phone call.
