Earlier this week American and allied personnel stationed in Iraq were attacked by an air strike from Iraqi Shiite militias. In response to this attack the Biden administration had ordered an airstrike back two F15 fighter jets to bomb a building in Syria, neighboring Iraq that had been claimed to housing the militias responsible for the attack in the beginning. This is the first recorded back Biden has requested and is marking that he will not put up with out of place situations like that. As for Syria, the minister announced a day later how he disagrees with the actions the U.S chose to handle this situation calling it, “cowardly U.S aggression”. The actions Biden declared also went against international law and Syria’s minister stated there will be backlash from this that will escalate the tension of the U.S in Iraq. Also, here in the U.S the Democrats in Congress are worked up because the decision to bomb back was made so quickly that not many in Congress knew of the actions yet and it put the deal America was trying to settle with Russia in a rough position because Russia did not know the bombs were ordered until they were already on their way. Lots of tension was build from the quickly made decision of Biden’s and his credibility for communication decline with mean sources he utilizes.
