GOP continues to follow Trump's lead with anti-China rhetoric at CPAC

Though the proceedings at the Conservative Political Action Conference are always largely symbolic, this year's event is notable for two key takeaways; Trump seems to still be dominating the Republican Party (this year's conference included the showcasing of a golden statue of Trump), and he continues to lead the party to adopt a "tough on China" message. This year, the conference included 6 panels that were focused on criticizing China on a host of topics, ranging from human rights to big tech. This is a clear sign that being "tough on China" will remain a key part of the Republican Party's platform, and that is perhaps the most visible way that Trump is continuing to influence the party when it comes to its policy agenda.
