Trump's Acquittal- BLOG #3

Former President Trump was set for his second senate impeachment trial and to no ones surprise the result echoed the same as his first trial. This does not come to me as a surprise that Trump was not impeached, and it should not surprise anyone. There is zero legal precedent in which a private citizen can or should be impeached. If that is the case, go ahead and impeach me too while you are at it. The entire trial was silly, partisan, and a waste of time and effort by both parties. The country should be focusing on the incoming President and how he is going to attempt to create a better America for us all. Trump and his team joked after the trial that they were "going to Disney World!" and he seemed to be in good spirits and will no doubt be working on a way to regain some political momentum. The issue with Trump moving forward is that many people on his side have turned on him to protect their own political careers and also, Trump has used social media to reach his following and now that he is bared from using it, it may be hard for him to get his message out there. All in all, Trump is out of office and I hope that we can get together and more forward as a nation. I do not like Biden, I do not think he will be a good president but like I we can do what Democrats failed to do when Trump took office which is to support him and hope for the best because at the end of the day, we are all on the same ship and trying to derail the captain of a boat we are all on whether it be your party or not in office is silly and is no good for America moving forward.
