FDA Unanimously Votes to Adopt Third Covid Vaccine.

A key FDA advisory panel Unanimously voted on Friday to back Johnson and Johnson's single shot Covid-19 vaccine. With the Biden administration working hard to ramp up vaccine production and increase the number of vaccinated Americans, this third vaccine makes this task all the more possible. While cases are on the decline in the US, a CDC official explained that vaccines can help protect us from variants. Many states are running low on Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, so it is expected that the J&J vaccine will be swiftly approved in order to aid states running low on doses of other vaccines. The J&J vaccine is more convenient compared to the other two vaccines on the market in the US. The J&J vaccine can be stored at refrigerator temps, rather than sub zero temps, and can also be given as a single shot, rather than 2 shots 14 days apart. The J&J shot demonstrates a 72% effectiveness in the US, but a 66% overall.
