Covid vaccine rollout gives US hope amid variant concerns

It is no secret that the United States has been the laughing stock of the world lately with how COVID procedures were handled. The United States was in the lead for the highest number of COVID cases for quite a while. According to the World Health Organization, the entirety of North America are the number one leaders in positive COVID tests as of today. With such a negative trend, good news is starting to emerge. The number of positive COVID cases has continued to fall daily as we start to near the end of the winter spike. There has been a decrease in hospitalizations and deaths as well. Although the numbers are steadily dropping, there is still a concern about the amount of deaths in the United States. The USA just recently underwent the most deadly month during this entire pandemic just last month in January, losing 95,000 Americans. In better news, the United States is projected to have 149 million vaccine doses administered by President Biden's first 100 days. Although there will be a long time until we return to 'normal', the future is looking bright as we (hopefully) near the end of this second spike of COVID cases.
