A Brazilian man
named Marco Archer Cardoso Moreira smuggled drugs into Indonesia and was caught
doing so in 2003. Brazil does not have the death penalty but Indonesia does, so
instead of sending Moreira back to Brazil, the Indonesia government executed
him, making the relationship between Brazil and Indonesia tense.
