Nothing is funny about making fun of religion.



Honestly, I don't like the insulting nature of these satirical portrayals of any religious figures. No mockery of any religion should be allowed regardless of freedom of speech.  I would never like or support if they did a Christian or a Jewish mockery nor ridiculing the Muslim faith either. However, it is a French publication not in America and it is within their jurisdiction to set the appropriate guidelines for their publishers, readers, and those who support it or disclaim it.
I don't see anyone demanding that Muslim countries change their Sharia laws because they are offensive to Western value of what we believe is correct or incorrect. After reading many different articles, reading that the Muslim Mayor of Rotterdam recently stated that, "if you don't like the freedoms that you are afforded here in your host Country then pack your bags and leave". I mean how could you disagree? I feel as if we need to understand we cannot control everyone or everything...
