The satirical portrayal of the Prophet Muhammad by Charlie Hebdo has caused more than uproar in France. Numerous churches have been set fire to by demonstrators to show their anger, two of said burnings being in the nation's capital,
Niamey. Not only have churches been burned down, but the French flag has been burned, roadblocks have been set up, a burned body was found in a Roman Catholic church, and the death toll is rising. These protests are not only exclusive to Niamey but also the city of Zinder, Maradi, and others. Will peace ever return after Charlie?
