The huddled masses besieging Fortress Calais

The huddled masses besieging Fortress Calais

Lots of refugees from states in unrest such as Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Sudan have gathered in Calais, the small port city along the border of France and England. They suffered a lot from wars, conflicts and violence in their own countries. They had no other choice but fleed from home country and spare no effort to get to England--the state where they believe they can get their need and dream fulfilled. Many of them are well-educated and gained high social status, and others were at least in normality in the past. But now they can do nothing but wait. Wait for help and salvation from European countries. However,"the British and French authorities have adopted what charities describe as a policy of 'deliberate neglect'", said in the news. Some desperate refugee choose to sneak on board parked or slow-moving lorries to make them have opportunity to cross the border. Crime rates in Calais is high. It is very anarchic and depressing. Regulations and reforms on this refugee issue must be taken. Otherwise, more problems will arise and it will be a smudge in humanity of governments.
