Amid a wave of gang-related killings, El Salvador declares state of emergency

After nearly 62 people died, with 14 people dead in one day this past Friday, El Salvador is in a state of emergency. The killings are traced back to some of the countries biggest gangs, that run multiple towns and cities across the country. The countries leader, President Buckle has used a lockdown strategy for prisons in order to send a message to the gang members. The members that are in jail will remain in their cells and not allowed time outside until the violence stops. El Salvador is now under curfew and an adjustment to loosen arrests.
