Britain's Prince William and his wife toured Belize, Jamaica, and The Bahamas to understand the issues that matter most to them. William stated that the future of the countries "is for the people to decide on". The two do not want to tell people what to do, instead they want to support them with the platform they have. Jamaica's prime minister told William and Kate that the country wants to be independent and that it is "moving on".
