While Benjamin Hall was covering the Russian invasion the vehicle he was in traveling in came under attack. Unfortunately this attack took the lives of the cameraman, Pierre Zackrzewski and journalist, Oleksandra "Sasha" Kuvshynova.
Kuvshynova was 24 years old and working as a consultant, helping crews around the area, also speaking to sources and gaining more information. A message from one of the representatives:
"She was incredibly talented and spent weeks working directly with our entire team there, operating around the clock to make sure the world knew what was happening in her country," Scott said as part of a lengthy statement.
Pierre was known very well around fox news, he was 55 years old. He covered almost all of the international stories. Playing an important role in getting Afghan freelance associates and families out of the country after the U.S. withdrawal. He was awarded the Unsung Hero award during an awards ceremony that fox had.
