The Respectful Supreme Court Hearing That Wasn’t

The hearing of supreme court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson has sparked controversy, as many has described the republican dialect and questions as 'manhandling' the potentially first ever black women to hold a spot on the Supreme Court. The article reads that there was "toxic partisanship, bitter attacks and nasty questioning full of innuendo about the supposed character failings of a nominee". Judge Jackson was asked about the definition of the word woman, if she thought that babies could be born racist, and if she could fairly judge catholics. This hearing was one of a kind, and it will be interesting to see how it influences votes towards her nomination.
