As South Koreans go to the polls, a backlash against feminism has become political

In this article it talks about the upcoming presidential election this Wednesday March 9th that is going to occur in South Korea. South Koreans in their 20's and 30's make out roughly one third of the voters in the election. It states that young women tend to vote for the Democratic party and young men vote for the People Power party. The politicians in South Korea are seen as "exploiting gender divisions". I think it is important to know because if the people are divided by gender there is most likely going to be a winner depending on the population from each gender. If there are more males than females, the People Power Party wins and vice versa. It is interesting to see that other countries are also divided among who they are going to vote for. I thought there was only a big political divide here in the United States. This is an important election because it will determine the future of the gender gap between men and women in South Korea and how that will affect future years to come.
