In this article it talks about the Russian people starting to feel the effects of the sanctions made on Russia by the United States and the Western countries. I think if Putin continues this war against Ukraine that the sanctions will make Russia go into an economic recession. A sanction mentioned in the article talks about Russians being being cut off from Visa, Mastercard, Google Play, and Apple pay. All these sanctions are making feel Russia like they are on their own and it makes them look like if they continue they might be like North Korea. Isolated from the rest of the world. The Rouble is basically almost worthless now and "Russia more than doubled its interest rate to 20%". I doubt Russia is able to combat the sanctions being put on the country and hopefully this will change Putin's mind and retreat from invading Ukraine.
