President Biden’s trip to Europe amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine had several highlight moments. Firstly, he called for further unity among the nations of Europe against Russia and further sanctions against Russia. Secondly, he gave reassurances to Poland stating that the U.S would provide aid to deal with the influx of Ukrainian refugees as well as doubling down that the U.S would honor its NATO obligations to provide military support should Russia push into Poland next. Lastly, An off the cuff comment stating Putin cannot be allowed to remain in power has raised criticism from his political opponents as well as Putin himself claiming that the remark suggested the U.S was seeking to foment a regime change in Russia.
