Due to the influx of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war, the EU voted unanimously to grant them residency in neighboring countries for as long as three years. This includes rights to Ukrainians and their families to have occupations during their stay, education, and welfare while they wait out the war in a foreign country. Those who hold a long-term residence or refugee record in Ukraine would be covered as well, while those who are temporary residents as students or workers would be aided in their journey home.
