"Ukraine willing to be neutral, says Russia wants to split nation"
To reach a peace agreement, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy claimed that Ukraine is ready to become neutral and to make a concession on the future status of the eastern Donbass area. At the same time, another top Ukrainian official accused Russia of trying to split the nation in two. In a video call that the Kremlin had urged Russian media not to disclose, Zelenskiy openly addressed Russian journalists, stressing that any deal must be backed by other parties and submitted to a vote before it can be implemented.
