China warns U.S. to withdraw sanctions or 'bear the consequences'
I chose this article because I thought it was a good example of what we have been talking about over the last few classes. The United States have issued a sanction over Beijing for buying military equipment from a Russian state arms export agency which was blacklisted by the United States. China has responded by saying that these actions will result in "consequences" if not removed. This whole affair shows the tit for tat relationship states have against each other. It was also interesting to read that China is still trying to expand their military force. I see it as a sign that at the moment, a lot of countries feel threatened by the potential outbreak of an arms race.
