Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in an interview on Sunday the U.S. may hold Russia accountable for chemical weapons in Syria due to Trump not wanting the norm of nations to act this way. This does not come as a shock seeing as the U.S. put sanctions on a Chinese military group for purchasing chemical weapons. Not only did the Trump administration impose sanctions they also blacklisted 33 Russian individuals as well as businesses on Thursday.
